Most would say that Kik Messenger really should have developed a way for users to log in through a web based portal, but unfortunately they have not created an API that allows this. The only avenue that seems like a decent workaround is going through Bluestacks which I will explain in detail in the following. I am going to treat the following information as though you’re a new user to Kik Messenger and Bluestacks.
Using Bluestacks To Log In And Use Kik Messenger Online
1. Navigate to Bluestacks (e.g. http://www.bluestacks.com
2. Click “save file” on this screen. Be sure to remember and take note of the location of where you saved your file. You will need to run the Bluestacks installer once it has been downloaded.
3. Once you’ve started to run the Bluestacks installer, you will see this screen. Click “continue” as indicated in the illustration to proceed with the Bluestacks installation.
4. The Bluestacks installer will automatically choose a directory for you to install it’s files to.For the purposes of what I’m explaining to you, I created a folder called “bluestacks” which is completely optional. I chose to make sure that the installer will install to “c:\bluestacks”.
You can leave the folder that the Bluestacks installer chose untouched and just click next to move on to the next step.
5. Now that the installer has finished, click “search” as indicated in the illustration.
6. Once you’ve clicked “search”, the next screen will prompt you for what you’re searching for. We are going to search for “kik” without quotes. So type that into the search dialogue box. Once it brings up the Kik app, click on it.
7. Bluestacks will prompt a “one time setup” window. These two steps must be completed in order to continue for both the App Store and the App Sync. Simply click on “continue” to proceed.
8. You will be prompted to provide your Google account details for your existing account. If you do not have a Google account, do not worry. Create a new one on this screen. A Google account is required to proceed with the Bluestacks installation.
9. Regardless of the option that you’ve chosen on the last screen, this is where your login credentials are needed. So upon reaching this screen, have that information ready. Once you’ve typed it in, proceed to the next step.
10. This is the Google Services screen. You will have the option to allow Bluestacks to back up your data to your Google account and / or allow them to communicate offers and news to you. This is not necessary, so checking these “extras” is not required. Proceed to the next step.
11. This is the second and final “one time setup” that you will be prompted for in the Bluestacks installation process. This is for the App Sync. This is a required step to complete the installation so please click “continue”.
12. Upon clicking “continue” you will be asked to sign into your Google account once more. Your Google account email will be displayed above the password input dialogue box.I have greyed mine out (hence the red blocks). Once you’ve typed in your password, click “sign in”.
13. After signing in and completing the App Sync, you will see a screen to install Kik. Click “install” as depicted in the photo illustration. The install process will ask for your “permissions” before the actual install takes place.
14. After you’ve provided the “permissions”, Kik will continue and complete the install. Click “open” once it has finished.
15. After opening Kik, you will come to this screen where you can either register as a new Kik user or log in to your existing account and use Kik from within Bluestacks.
From now on you can log in and use Kik from within Bluestacks on your PC.
